As part of a leading international consortium, TIPS aims to equip professionals in several public sector fields, including justice, health, and education, with the skills to effectively recognise and respond to the needs of individuals affected by trauma. Its innovative framework promotes more compassionate and informed interventions, delivering tangible benefits to service quality and community well-being.
The project brings together distinguished institutions from across Europe: Katholieke Unisersiteit Leuven (Belgium), which coordinates the consortium, MEDRI - Sveuciliste U Rijeci - Medicinski Fakultet (Croatia), WIN - Wissenschaftsinitiative Niederösterreich (Austria), Integra Institut Za Razvoj Clovekovih Potencialov Velenje (Slovenia), Qualed obcianske zdruzenie pre kvalifikáciu a vzdelávanje (Greece) and Connexions Information Communication Technologies For Education and Social Impact Private Company (Greece). This strong partnership ensures a multidisciplinary approach and close collaboration between research, training, and professional practice.
Representing Portugal, Professors Regina Silva, from the field of Pathological, Cytological, and Thanatological Anatomy, and Artemisa Rocha Dores, from the Social and Human Sciences field, had played key roles in developing TIPS activities and their implementation in the national context. Their efforts had been instrumental in ensuring that the knowledge developed at the European level translates into meaningful improvements within Portuguese public services.
This recognition by EPOS (Erasmus+ Agency in Flanders) reinforces E2S | P.PORTO’s commitment to applied research and innovation in public health, consolidating its position as a national and European leader in advancing evidence-based, effective responses to emerging social challenges.
We proudly congratulate the entire TIPS team, in particular Professors Regina Silva and Artemisa Rocha Dores, for this achievement, which highlights the excellence and impact of the research carried out within our institution.
