JEMSHI // Joint European Master in Speech-Language and Hearing Innovation

The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has recently approved the JEMSHI project - "Joint European Master in Speech-Language and Hearing Innovation". This consortium is led by the Polytechnic of Porto and the School of Health and will formally start in November.

This project integrates the technical-scientific departments of Audiology and Speech Therapy of ESS | P.PORTO, supported by an international consortium with Ilia State University (Georgia) and the University of Maribor (Slovenia).

With a duration of 15 months and funding of around 55.000€, the main goal of this project is to create an International Master's Programme in the fields of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, promoting innovative professional practices, the connection between social and corporate realities and attracting international students.

It is predicted to run between November 2022 to January 2024.

JEMSHI was thought of as an Erasmus Mundus Design Measures project. These types of projects support the design of high-level study programmes at master level by Higher Education Institution teams from different countries worldwide with specific expertise in a given study area or professional domain.
