Erasmus + project UKROTHE stopped due to war

Since 2020, our School of Health, through the Occupational Therapy department, has been participating as partner in the Erasmus+ project UKROTHE, along with Khmelnytsky National University, Prydniprovska State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports in Dnipro, and Drohobych Ivan Franco State Pedagogical University, all from Ukraine and Vives University in Belgium and some NGO, also in Ukraine.

This project aims to help our colleagues in Ukraine to develop an Occupational Therapy program in those three universities of that country which is now suffering from a brutal war attack.

In the scope of this project, a visit from our Ukrainian partners was planned to the first week of April. Now the war has stopped the project and the visit is cancelled.

There was a strong will and commitment of our partners to participate in the development of important higher educational programs to the health services in Ukraine and we were very happy to collaborate with Ukrainian universities.

Since the war has begun, it has been difficult to stay connected to our colleagues in this project. We sincerely hope that all are safe and healthy. We also hope that this unjustified and incomprehensible war will end soon, if not NOW, allowing the return of Ukrainian people to a life as normal as possible.

In our school, we will always have the doors open to continue this collaboration with Ukraine.
