O curso de Basic Lab Skills for Research on Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology confere competências na utilização e aplicação de ferramentas de investigação como as ciências laboratoriais, a neuromodulação, a biossegurança e controlo de qualidade, bem como apoio no desenho experimental, a candidatura a financiamento e a escrita científica.
O curso abrange diversos conteúdos, distribuídos por diferentes sessões:
- Reception of the students and Welcome session
- Laboratory equipment and methods
- Risk, lab safety and quality control
- Lab inventory and stock management
- Soft skills
- Scientific writing
- Science-based on Online surveys
- Designing an experiment
- Preparing a PhD project or a funded project
- Project presentation (final evaluation)
O curso decorre entre os dias 24 de Março e 16 de Junho e é ministrado em português/inglês.
Confere 2 ECTS e é destinado a jovens investigadores que pretendam fazer carreira em investigação e desenvolvimento (I&D).
A inscrição é obrigatória e a participação pode ter um custo associado para investigadores/estudantes externos.
The Basic Lab Skills for Research on Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology course provides know-how in using research tools such as laboratory sciences, neuromodulation, biosafety and quality control, as well as support in experimental development, funding application and scientific writing.
This workshop covers multiple areas and contents, divided by several sessions:

- Designing an experiment
- Preparing a PhD project or a funded project

This course will be taking place between the 24th March and the 16th June and will be taught in both portuguese and english.
It grants 2.0 ECTS and is aimed at young researchers who intend to build a career in research and development (I&D).
Signing up is mandatory and participation may have a fee for external researchers or students.
