Researchers, academics, and professionals are invited to submit chapter proposals for the forthcoming book, “Integrating Telehealth and Pharmaceutical Services for Improved Patient Management”, published by Springer Nature. This editorial project aims to explore innovative intersections between telehealth and pharmaceutical care, thereby contributing to the advancement of patient-centered digital healthcare.
Contributions may include research chapters, case studies, policy analyses, reviews, or practical implementation guides. The editors invite original contributions addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Historical and conceptual foundations of telehealth–pharmaceutical services integration;
- Telepharmacy models in practice (retail, outpatient, mobile, and hospital settings);
- Digital health platforms, AI applications, and remote monitoring tools in pharmacy;
- Patient-centered approaches and digital interventions for medication adherence;
- Implementation strategies for embedding telehealth/pharmacy services within health systems;
- Regulatory, ethical, and data-privacy considerations (GDPR, HIPAA, consent management);
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and team-based care models enabled by telehealth;
- Evaluation frameworks: outcome metrics, cost-effectiveness, and patient satisfaction;
- Pharmacovigilance and drug safety surveillance in telehealth and digital pharmacy contexts;
- Radiopharmacy and clinical applications of nuclear medicine in digital health and pharmacy;
- Global perspectives and real-world case studies on telehealth–pharmacy integration;
- Future trends: AI-driven telehealth, virtual reality in education, and next-generation digital tools;
Proposals (1,000–2,000 words) must be submitted by November 28, 2025, with acceptance notifications sent by December 29, 2025. Full chapters (minimum 7,000 words) are due by May 22, 2026. All submissions will undergo a double-anonymized peer review process.
The editors, Ângelo Jesus and Raquel Simões de Almeida, encourage participation from interdisciplinary teams and professionals worldwide, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and ethical practice in the digital health landscape.
