The Master's in Innovation in Digital Health aims to create an interdisciplinary learning ecosystem involving academia, industry and
civil society. The aim is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, tools and methods, as well as the legal framework, needed to
design, advise, develop and implement innovative user-centred solutions in a variety of contexts. In order to achieve this, a blendedlearning
system will be adopted, i.e. a system that combines face-to-face learning with online learning (50 per cent of classes will be
face-to-face and 50 per cent will be online). In this way, different spaces for interaction will be used (classroom and virtual learning
environment) and a combination of different pedagogical approaches and strategies, in the context of a competency-based learning
model, as well as the diversification of technological and pedagogical resources and tools, with a view to enhancing student learning.
Face-to-face classes allow direct contact with technologies in a digital laboratory context and, in this way, the manipulation and
experimentation of various digital solutions; on the other hand, the existence of online classes makes it possible to count on the
collaboration of international experts (providing students with insights and global perspectives), the use of active digital
methodologies, and efficiency and sustainability. In addition, the flexibility offered by online classes makes it easier for students
working and/or located in different parts of the country or abroad to take part, and to reconcile professional and personal
commitments, making the programme accessible to a wider range of participants.
