The School of Health of the Polytechnic University of Porto will be opening a new MSc program in Translational Health (MiTH Program).
The MiTH Program was built to address challenges of translational basic research results into healthcare, population health and bioindustries, firmly adhering to the principle "from bench to bedside, and beyond and back". Our program emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, respecting the highest standards of scientific, ethical, academic and professional quality, particularly important for translational health research, while developing a global vision of health problems in the world, which put to practice in the 3 branches to be consulted in the curricular plan below.
The MiTH Program will be held at the School of Health within the scope of RISE-Health @ TBIO (Center for Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology Research). Depending on the curricular unit, some classes may take place remotely (blended learning). Classes will be taught in English, unless all students are Portuguese.

Holders of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in the following fields of study (Ordinance No. 256/2005 of March 16): Health, Social Services, Personal Services, Environmental Protection, Security Services, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering and related techniques, Social and Behavioral Sciences; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree in one of the areas mentioned in paragraph a) that complies with the Bologna process or is recognized by the Technical-Scientific Council (CTC) of the School of Health (ESS) as meeting the objectives of the bachelor's degree. Holders of a school, scientific, or professional curriculum recognized by the CTC of the ESS as attesting to the capacity to undertake this Program. It is required that the student presents a level of linguistic competence in English compatible with at least B1 at the time of application or commits to reaching that level by the beginning of the classes.
