Advanced scientific training in the area, enabling the design of methodologies/technologies in the specialty. Prepare to solve problems in planning/research/provision of services and development of products in rehabilitation, for individuals/organizations, progress of society respecting ethical/social principles. Ensure mastery of methods/technologies related to your Thesis, understanding the details of the specialty. Understand potential/limitations of specialization, aptitude to lead R&D projects in institutions and guide future PhD students. Train researchers capable of generating original and relevant knowledge in Rehabilitation specialization and competencies: Develop Practical Skills in R&D, Design Solutions Integrate Technology in Rehabilitation, Implement/Evaluate Interventions, Improve Health Systems, Strengthen Skills in Scientific Communication and Knowledge Transfer, Promote Ethics and Sustainability in Applied R&D.
This study program will have two specializations:
- Occupational Therapy specialization
- Physiotherapy specialization Specific entry requirements
Specific entry requirements for each Route /pathor each Route /path:
a) Holders of a bachelor's degree in the areas of Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, depending on the path, holders of a master's degree or a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum that is recognized by the Scientific Committee of the course as attesting to the ability to carry out a specific path in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy of this cycle of studies
b) Holders of degrees equivalent to those mentioned above by foreign universities, after curricular evaluation.
c) Candidates must have a good command of Portuguese and English in spoken and written language.
