BSc: 3 years ( 180 ECTS units ) Automotive Engineering study and develops safer, comfortable and efficient vehicles. Geared towards technical innovation, it seeks solutions to increase performances and behavior, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, ensure active and passive safety, and improve ergonomics and maintenance. With the BSc in Automotive Engineering, ISEP trains engineers capable working with product development, maintenance, after-sales service and technical support. The course combines aspects of mechanical engineering base, where students develop knowledge in materials, structures, mechanisms, manufacturing and thermal processes, with specific components of the automotive area, in terms of vehicle technology, electronics, management and legislation. To support a fast integration in the labour market, the programme includes theoretical and practical classes. Throughout the course, students also have the opportunity to participate in various seminars and workshops with industry experts and they can also participate in Motorsport and racing extracurricular activities. This unique option in northern Portugal benefits from the synergy with Toyota and enables students to develop their final project in a company. Postgraduate Studies Graduate students can continue their specialization with the MSc in Mechanical Engineering .
