Over recent years training availability in the areas of Tourism, Hospitality and Catering has grown exponentially in the secondary and tertiary education levels and in the business sector. At the same time, there is a constant intervention concerning lifelong learning in the different Tourism sectors (accommodation, travel agencies, catering, tourist entertainment companies, etc.), and such training is provided by middle and upper managers, who should be pedagogically prepared for it.

However, there are no programmes that will prepare these agents with the proper teaching and training qualifications for the sector of the Tourism, Hospitality and Catering.

Thus, the specialised Postgraduate programme in Education for Tourism, Hospitality and Catering is aimed at vocational trainers and teachers of Tourism, Hospitality and Catering subjects. It will provide them with new tools and methodologies so as to improve their proposed pedagogical activities.

The programme is taught in cooperation with ESE/ IPP (School of Education) and welcomes several specialists, who present case studies so as to balance theory and practice.
